While it is always possible to find affordable laptops Blu-ray , that which is normally paid the price in another respect by suffering a slow processor, no graphics or any other inconvenience. On paper, at least, the R620 does not fall into that trap. At its base is more than capable Intel Core 2 Duo T6500 clocked at 2.1GHz, with 3GB of DDR2 RAM and 512 MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 in support. At 5400 rpm, 320 GB hard drive provides high capacity storage, and Wireless-N Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet are also included. Only Bluetooth is absent, but the R620 is not alone in failing at this price point.

Connectivity is also very good. There are four USB ports in total, two port eSATA and another that sleep offers ‘& Load’ aptitude – an addition of more and more vital. They are joined by all the usual suspects, namely: VGA, HDMI, Ethernet, microphone and headphone jacks, a 54mm ExpressCard slot and a 3-in-1 memory card reader. One could quibble about the absence of another audio output or a digital that, but for the most part, the R620 ticks all the boxes right here.

This is not the most exciting part of the design, though. Samsung has always been too fond of shiny black plastic and while the R522 has corrected its excellent manner, the R620 back to old habits. As such, it is very vulnerable to scratches and fingerprints, but at least the matte black bezel of the screen reduces glare factor somewhat. The most successful of the smaller R522, however, is the ring of light rather fetching ‘around the touchpad that glows blue when you use it. Apart from this, however, the R620 is a solid but disappointing thing to see.

Yet, as we have already noted, the R620 offers excellent bang for your buck, do aesthetic considerations less important. What’s more relevant is without doubt the build quality and ergonomics of this chassis, which are excellent. Overall, the system runs coolly, calmly, while the construction will affect that quality is the durability of its finish mostly on glossy paper.

This is the keyboard that really impresses, however. He has an excellent layout with a full numeric keypad giving credentials appropriate replacement office R620. We particularly like how there is a “Fn key” with the cursor keys, which makes it much easier to use the brightness and volume controls matched with them. This logical layout is married to keys that despite the feeling of a tender little thin and light, action, basically positive, making this machine an excellent work. A well-placed touch pad complete with touch-sensitive all well. [via trustedreviews ]
