Sony 3D Tech Electronics

We have more news on the forthcoming announcement of Sony’s push into 3D technology now, as has been reported that Sony will extend the technology beyond televisions. According to this EE Times article, it was revealed that the Blu-Ray Disc Association also sought to use 3D technology into their disk format.

Even more interesting if Sony are planning to expand their 3D technology into their VAIO notebooks, Blu-ray Disc and as their PlayStation 3.

EETimes Sony also revealed that they will be using a shutter “active” technology, using electronic glasses containing tiny flaps that open and close rapidly in line with the television image to create a 3D printing . Looks like we’re in an exciting year as long as we see how this new technology advances. Let us know your thoughts on this. [via product-reviews]
