    Sony BDV-E370 3D Blu-ray Home CInema System

The BDV-E370 is Sony’s latest entry-level system Blu-ray Home Cinema. At first glance this is a simple case of a box, but there is more to this than meets the eye – thanks to a software update available from Sony support, this system can play 3D Blu-ray when paired with one of 3D TVs from Sony and active shutter glasses. This makes it a potential rival to the Samsung HT-C6930W brilliant system, and a lot cheaper to.

Stuffed into the box is a central control unit, which merges a player Profile 2.0 Blu-ray and amplifier 850W 5.1-channel and five compact satellite speakers and a passive subwoofer. The main unit is not the most attractive Sony has ever designed, with a kind pieces and black matte finish making it, unfortunately anonymous, but the lower back and gently luminous white light are nice touch.

The rear panel is occupied, even if the lack of HDMI inputs annoy anyone who wants to channel other HD devices if the system. The output is HDMI version 1.4 and therefore compatible with Full HD video signals in 3D, and beside it, you’ll find component and composite outputs, two digital audio inputs (one optical, one coaxial), stereo analog input, an Ethernet port and a second USB port. A set of sheets speakers color match with the appropriate cables for easy installation. If you want to reduce the footprint you can make the rear speakers wireless transmitter purchased the Sony S-Air receiver.

Another option is the £ 70 adapter UWA-BR100 wireless LAN, which plugs into a USB port on the rear panel. It is therefore possible to access the wide range of networking functions (more on those later) without needing a cable awkward. Not surprisingly, cheaper non-Sony dongle does not work, forcing you to buy the Sony version. If you consider this adapter and S-Air equipment in the overall price, Samsung HT-C6930W begins to look like a better relationship with its Wi-Fi, wireless rear speakers provide 3D and preparation of the box.

The front 225mm high and rear speakers are solidly built, attractive and easy to install if space is limited. They are coated in a glossy black finish and sports springclips the back for cables. The center speaker is long, slim casing is discreet, while the subwoofer cube plain black finish and surprisingly solid build put it in a different class from most other all-in-one submarines.
