    Sony Crazy Vaio P Netbook

    May 11, 2010 | Notebook, Sony | 1 Comment

The Vaio P Series is extremely ambitious, but ultimately the wrong idea: a netbook with remarkable elongated 8in 1600 x 768 pixels Atom processor and the budget price tag brilliant. It was widely seen as a laudable, if capricious, a failure. Thus, Sony would not try again, would it? In fact, he announced that a new P-Series Vaio today and all the delusions of origin is always there with some new tricks.

The most obvious is the recasting of good taste with a matte finish that can be completely reversed by the garish orange, pink color options green. There is also a new optical touchpad added to the right of the screen so that it can be operated with one hand while on the move (which seems extremely risky).

Beneath the surface, the Vaio P has too many changes of an accelerometer, GPS and 3G integrated into the menu all sides faster processors Atom Z series and one ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts 8in (yes) 1600 x 768 resolution LED backlit display for use inside or outside.

Fill the rest of the specs, we have 2 GB of RAM, two USB ports, SD card and Memory Stick Duo slot, an integrated webcam in the bezel and wireless N. A 64GB SSD is completely well. Unfortunately battery life is 3.5 hours, but it can still be improved up to seven hours with optional extended battery.

So how long would you cut the big family affair: the price? We have not yet PPI in the UK, but with the P series from now $ 799 (£ 531), it is eminently more affordable and with a weight of just over 600 grams, it is potentially an alternative to the IPAD (680g). It goes on sale in the United States immediately. [via trustedreviews]
