In addition to the slimline TX1, Sony is also the Cyber-shot DSC-WX1 compact point-and-shoot camera. As the TX1, the Sony WX1 Packs Exmore R back-illuminated CMOS sensor with 10.2 megapixels of resolution. It has a 5x zoom Sony G lens with 24mm wide angle and a 2.7-inch LCD.

The WX1, like most developing countries to Sony, is equipped with the BIONZ image processor engine. It offers SteadyShot optical image stabilization, Intelligent Auto (iAuto) mode Face Detection, ISO 3200, Dynamic Range Optimizer. The WX1 records 720p HD video in MPEG4 format.
