Sony announces its new Cybershot digital camera, the DSC-H55. The new Sony Cybershot H55 offers superb optical performance in a compact body and an elegant style that is great for travel or the shooting every day. Providing detailed images with low noise, the 14.1-megapixel sensor is associated with a high performance G Lens.

Unique to Sony, this lens offers superior a powerful 10x optical zoom range to meet virtually all situations – from sweeping landscapes and group shots to dramatic close-ups. The Sony H55 also offers enhanced SteadyShot optical image stabilization with active mode, which now offers up to 10x more correction shake while you shoot HD video. Other features of the Sony Cybershot DSC-H55 Digital Camera Compact include 720p HD video recording, Face Detection / Smile Shutter and Intelligent Auto mode for Fuß-free shooting in any situation.

Intelligent Panorama Sweep improves an acclaimed feature Cybershot. It is so easy to use: just press the shutter when the camera and scan the entire scene. The Sony DSC-H55 automatically assembles a burst of high-resolution frames to create a single image extra large. Perfect for landscapes or large family gatherings, this function now offers a better treatment for seamless panoramas, even when people move through.
