Sony CyberShot W350/B Black Digital Camera

It seems we’re about to see a new aircraft Cybershot W series of Sony. Although we have received only minimal information to date, and it seems that the new Sony Cybershot W-cameras will not be introduced before the CES in Las Vegas. A new Cybershot cameras is supposed to be the Sony Cybershot DSC-W350. It should include a Carl Zeiss lens and at least a 5x optical zoom. When it comes to image resolution, we would see up to 12 megapixels combined with Sony’s BIONZ processor. We do not expect the Sony DSC-W350 to reconcile R Exmor CMOS sensor on the contrary, we believe it will come with a CCD image sensor.

We expect there will always be a differentiation in the W-series Cybershot between the standard W-cameras with CCD and luxury, or more advanced W-cameras with CMOS Exmor R. Perhaps the Photokina 2010 will be a good time to equip the entire range of Sony Cybershot camera sensor with Exmor technology. The Sony DSC-W350 is probably a large-angle zoom of at least 28 mm, and will be able to capture the landscapes and small spaces both appropriately and with ease.

Given the powerful BIONZ processor, high ISO sensitivity of ISO 3200 should be at least possible. And since the previous W-series Cybershot cameras were equipped with optical image stabilizer, the Sony W350 certainly not wish to do without.
