News has learned that Sony does not share the license with their partners Ericsson handset, unless the construction quality on their mobile phones are the first part of the standards.
There were plans to enable Sony PlayStation brand on the devices, just as they do with their Cyber-shot technology. The lack of support from Sony has made the two spinoffs, so looks like we will not see a PlayStation phone soon.
