Sony NAS-Z200iR Remote Control Compact Music System

It is not often that a remote control becomes the centerpiece of a product launch, but man, do you look. This is the remote for Sony NAS-Z200iR a shelf WiFi-enabled audio system with CD loading slot and iPod dock. The Z200iR is DLNA certified, it works with any device in your DLNA NAS, including boxes and, of course, your PC or Mac.

The re-charge distance has a 3.5-inch LCD screen that gives you full control over the media, including from Internet radio, integrated AM / FM tuner, or devices connected via the audio Z200iR or USB ports. The sound comes courtesy of a pair of independence, 20-watt speakers with dual speaker neodymium magnet used to drive the bass. A simple, less WiFi-CMT-Z100iR first system launched in July with Z200iR head to Europe in mid-September. Sorry, no price announced thus no joy.

Updated: Ready for the price? The German press has Z200iR to € 699. Nearly $ 1,000 for a compact sound system that is on a shelf. Way to go Sony, way to go. [ via engadget ]
