Sony SRS-DB500 PC Speakers
January 28, 2010 | Display, MP3 Player, Sony | 2 CommentsThese babies are monsters, two satellite speakers are always allocates a huge 75W per channel, backed by a big brute of a subwoofer pack a powerful 150W RMS. Powered by Amplifier S-Master digital, it is a hideous powerful speaker system office.

And let us remember that as we continue, these are speakers designed to sit within a few feet of you, your office, not its distribution throughout your stay. If you want a set of these you are, or after speakers that can pack a punch Tyson force or if you’re already so deaf that nothing else will work. It is not surprising that this is – literally – a heavyweight, with the whole package pointing to a powerful 10kg, give or take 100g here or there. What is surprising is how much of this weight reduction for the sub.
The satellite units are solidly built about 14cm wide, 20cm high and 10cm deep, but they are actually quite light, weighing only 700 grams each. With a 2.5-inch horn and a bass port at which they are designed to manage high-end, midrange and some low end frequencies, giving a smooth crossover to the sub, but at first I was not particularly optimistic . Compare satellites Sony satellites provided with, say, superb game Altec Lansing MX5021 or Logitech Z2300 system, then take the bog-standard, Bell, son of wiring into account, and you do not come out with a lot of faith that BSS-DB500 will work,
The subwoofer, however, inspires more confidence. It weighs a back-busting 8.5 kilograms (bend your knees when you stick it under your desk!) And, as mentioned earlier, includes an amplifier S-Master digital found in more conventional Hi Sony -Fi and home cinema kit. The driver of 160mm at the end of the bass port sounds great, and it is not the only thing that does. As for SRS-GD50iP system, we examined last week, Sony’s engineers have decided to occupy us with lights, placing a ring of red light around the volume button at the top of the system. Not only does this work as a volume indicator, it also vibrates and rotates to the beat of music or sound effects to your listening with three different effects that you can select using the supplied IR remote control (sadly missing my review sample).
