Sony Vaio Z505 Ultra-Slim Laptop
November 11, 2008 | Notebook, Sony | Comments OffI bought the Vaio Z505 eBay on a whim and a friend’s suggestion for an “ultra-slim” laptop. The laptop certainly up to that request. It is tiny both in size and power.
The modem does not work but everything else does. The installation is complicated because it does not have a CD-ROM drive. I had to borrow a friend, but he allowed booting from the CD-ROM after all set up. The CD-ROM drive is a PCMCIA made specifically for the Vaio. Once installed, I noticed that scrolling is slow, mainly because of the weakness of the video card.
