Pico projectors are relatively new to the market with only 1, 2 may be available for purchase. They use LED lighting as a source of light and tend to be able to throw a screen on a surface of about 50 inches.

Toshiba showed their version of a Pico projector at CES this year, which measures 1.8 x 0.7 x 3.9 inches and weighs only 100 grams. The LED lamp inside that gives light to the images takes about 2000 hours. Hopefully it is with LED-based lamps will be relatively easy and inexpensive to install and remove when they are broken, or when something brilliant is launched. [ via gadgetvenue ]
