Toshiba Unveils 512GB Solid State Drives

Coming in 512GB, the 2.5 “SSD is the current leader in terms of storage capacity. For those who just do not believe that this capacity is necessary, Toshiba is also offering its 2.5″ 64 GB drives, 128GB and 256 GB of capacity – which means that almost everyone will be able to take advantage of their new high-tech spec equipped with hard drives no matter how much they have in their wallet!
Notepad and NETBOOK owners were not left out as Toshiba is also the production of 1.8 “drives and 1.8″ SSD flash modules in capacities of 64 GB, 256 GB and 128GB. The players promise to offer a maximum read speed of 240MBps sequential and a maximum sequential write speed of 200Mbps with AES. The new drives will be on display at CES 2009, with samples available from January to March 2009. Mass production and availability of consumers will not begin before April to June 2009. [ via blog ]
