Designed for use with Mac and PC, you can choose from plenty of different connections and can be configured for speed or data redundancy.

The system provides four interfaces: eSATA and FireWire 800 for maximum performance as well as FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 for maximum flexibility. Eco-system uses Friendly2 WD hard drives with WD GreenPower technology for energy savings and cool and quiet operation.
The WD My Book Studio Edition II (4TB) External Hard Drive 2TB employs two drives Western Digital Caviar Green drive in a RAID 0, which improves the speed of reading and writing. Internal hard drives are cool and calm, so that the My Book Studio Edition II (4TB) itself is silent during operation. The housing is cooled passively through perforations on top and the back cover and rarely gets hot.
