Western Digital Caviar Black RE4 Hard Drive
December 11, 2009 | Computer, Hardware, Portable Storage | 1 CommentRecently we have seen more than 2 TB of hard drives appear Hothardware just received two new models of 2 TB Western Digital, are the AR4 2 TB and 2 TB the Caviar Black.
Hothardware has recently reviewed these two models, they used a Seagate Barracuda 1.5TB hard disk as a reference point in all points of reference, you can see their full review here. The two new WD drives boast a 64MB cache impressive, while the Seagate only star of a cache of 32 MB, but the Seagate boast better latency (only by 0.04 ms).
Virtually all benchmarks of Western Digital drives outperformed the Seagate, there were some exceptions, but nothing consistent on all drives the WD Caviar Black is the winner, however the price of the disc is double that of the Barracuda. [via product-reviews ]
