Western Digital Outs 450GB And 600GB VelociRaptor Hard Drives

Western Digital has added two new storage capacity to its readers of the series by launching the VelociRaptor hard drive 450GB and 600GB models.

Coming at a time of 2.5 inches and 3.5 inches (incorporating factors shape heat sink), these drives offer a working speed of 10,000 rpm, a SATA 6.0 Gb / s, 32 MB of cache and an MTBF of 1.4 million hours. Models 450 GB and 600 GB are now available for purchase through the online store of Western Digital $ 299 and $ 329 respectively. [via techfresh]
