Xbox 360 Alan Wake Games
February 21, 2010 | Component, Games | Comments OffAll that will change though with the imminent publication of Alan Wake for Xbox 360. Not only is Alan Wake a completely new entry in the survival horror genre is a game with a pedigree as strong as it has got the players hold their breath waiting for his release, including me. For those of you who do not know (there may be one or two of you), the team behind Alan Wake we have already made Max Payne, so there is a heavy weight of expectation associated with new game and its protagonist holder.

One thing that made Max Payne, such a joy to play is incredibly strong story that attracted you in the game and made you want to discover the next clue or twist. Alan Wake is set to take gaming history saying at a higher level, with a complex plot that unfolds at each level of the game. Remedy based structure of Alan Wake on a television at each level were presented as an episode you’ll even get a “previously on Alan Wake” recap at the beginning of each new episode!
Although I have followed the development of Alan Wake for many years, the preview event that Microsoft Game Studios took place earlier this week was offered my first opportunity to actually play the game. I am always wary of making definitive conclusions when reading the preview code, but if I can build played Wednesday is an indication of the final, Alan Wake will be good, very good.
The game starts with Alan (a successful author with Writer’s Block) which tells of a nightmare he was having, where he is driving at night and overturned, killing a hitchhiker. The Hitchhiker then returns to life and begins to hunt Alan. In reality, this level is a little guide to help you familiarize yourself with the operation of the game and the controls, but it also throws a few clues to what is in store – as big as the mysterious hitchhiker is actually a character from one of Alan’s books.
